For women of war, forever to be free

For women of war, forever to be free
For women of war, forever to be free
Summary. To celebrate International Women's Day, we dedicate this poem to women of war. The women who have their freedom brutally taken from them. Freedom to live, to learn, to work, to raise their children, the freedom to simply be. This poem's a tribute, a heartfelt plea, for women of war, forever to be free.

A mind unchained, a spirit bold,

Freedom’s embrace, a story untold.

For women’s wings, a right to soar,

Beyond the bars that close the door.

In lands of strife, where battles rage,

Women of war turn a darkened page.

With hearts that ache, and burdens vast,

They fight for peace, a future to last.

Freedom to learn, with books unfurled,

Wisdom’s wellspring for all the world.

To carve a path, a skill to hone,

Building dreams where seeds are sown.

Though bombs may fall, and shadows creep,

Knowledge they seek, a promise to keep.

For education’s light shall be the guide,

Through darkest nights, where hope may hide.

Freedom to work, to choose their way,

A voice to raise, a right to say.

They mend and heal, with hands so strong,

Rebuild their lives where they belong.

Freedom to raise a loving brood,

Sons and daughters, wise and good.

Teaching them, what freedom means,

The sacred space where conscience leans.

Though war may steal their peaceful days,

They plant the seeds of gentler ways.

In every child, a hope they see,

For a world where all, can be free

To question, doubt, to dream and dare,

To rise above, to breathe the air.

Compassion’s touch, a helping hand,

The human spirit, vast and grand.

So let them rise, these women strong,

With freedom’s song their joyful song.

For in their hearts, a truth shall bloom,

The essence of being, breaking through the gloom.
