Another celebrity magnet, this one is not to be missed for sports fans. Join tennis enthusiasts from around the globe at the historic Wimbledon Championships from the 1st to the 14th of July. From nail-biting matches to strawberries and cream on the lush green lawns, Wimbledon is a quintessential summer experience not to be missed. Tickets are scarce, as people camp up in tents in Wimbledon Park to score a seat, so get yours early. While you are in the area, check our Wimbledon Village, home of the rich and famous of many Londoners, browse through the shops and cafes as the entire community dresses up the windows in purple and green to celebrate the championship.

Still dreaming of spotting a Royal show? June is your month then! This is one of my favourites. Mostly because it is as unique as London itself! You just can’t recreate something from the 1500s! From tragic tales to uproarious comedies, the Globe’s summer season offers a glimpse into the timeless works of the Bard in an authentic Elizabethan setting. What I find most incredible is that performances by the Shakespeare company that are still delivered in the same way as they did centuries ago, in similar costumes. Can’t you tell, we like tradition here in London! Bring flat shoes if you have a standing ticket, you will be close enough to the stage to smell the drama!

 

Chelsea Flower Show and Chelsea in Bloom: Floral Fantasies

Coming to bloom in our lives, the gorgeous Flower Show is here from the 21st to the 25th of May. Indulge your senses in a riot of colour and fragrance at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show. Another one attended by royals, here it’s all about beauty and greenness. Explore stunning garden displays and floral installations, then wander the streets of Chelsea adorned with enchanting floral decorations displays covering the shops in the famous King’s Road during the Chelsea in Bloom festival.
